Body language is a very important aspect when animating a
character. Apart from facial expression things like hand and head movements
really communicate to an audience and help the audience understand what is
going on in the scene.
Things like emotion can be shown through body language so
for example how a character is walking can tell the audience how the character
is feeling. Their body posture is a real clue in what a character may be doing
and what emotion they might be feeling while carrying out the movement. Also gestures
from a character can also communicate to an audience linked with their posture.
The part which really gives away the full picture when
animating a character is there facial expression, so much can be to about a
facial expression and this linked with body posture or gesture can really
explain a characters certain behaviour in a scene.
Body language would be something to consider for this
animation because the use of facial expressions can help complete or explain a
scene instead of just having blank faces. Even when in a fight for example if
the characters facial expressions keep changing you can easily tell who will
win the fight or if the character is injured and how tired the character might
be from the way the character is for example breathing.
